GAME FLOW
The blue and gold wasted no time in going on the attack and capitalizing on plays. Assisted by
Emma Beaulieu,
Alexa Mognon was able to get Windsor up on the board within the first minute of the game and set the pace for the remainder of the game. As it was a tight match up, Brock struggled to take advantage of their scoring opportunities, missing connections between the defensive line, midfielders, and attackers. On the other hand, the Lancers got to know their tendencies from Friday night's game and back line player,
Haley Smith ensured the Badgers were unable to equalize the play. At halftime, Windsor led the game 1-0 over Brock.Â
Â
In the second half of the game, both teams started to pick up the pace with quick passes and trying to hold possession of the ball for as long as possible.
Lauren Gellner made a massive save after Brock earned a free kick due to a high cleat call on the Lancers to keep the Badgers out of the net. The blue and gold were able to spread out and keep the Badgers on their toes to take the win.
