Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Marauders double up on Lancers

In their first meeting in almost three years, the Lancer men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the host McMaster Marauders on Friday night in Hamilton.

With the loss, the Lancers are still looking for their first win of the season heading into game two of a home-and-home series against the Marauders.

STATS
Windsor came out with eight total shots on goal including a goal by Devin Hernandez. Goalkeeper Brandon Gaudreau made nine outstanding saves for the blue and gold.

On the Marauders side, the maroon and grey scored two total goals by Miles Green and Spencer Chapple while Ethan Cagalj made five saves.

GAME FLOW
The Marauders came out strong in the first half and got on the board twenty minutes into the contest with a goal from Miles Green. The Lancers were quick to respond and made multiple attempts before Hernandez was able to put the ball past Marauder goaltender Cagali in the 29th minute. The teams went into the break tied 1-1.

After the break, Windsor struggled to maintain possession and find scoring openings against McMaster. In the end, the Lancers were unable to find the back of the net, resulting in a 2-1 loss to the hosts.
