The Lancer men's soccer team is still looking for their first game of the season after falling 7-3 to the visiting McMaster Marauders on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Stadium.
Â
The Lancers got on the board just four minutes into the opening half rookie
Devin Hernandez's second goal of the weekend to take an early lead. However, the Marauders did not let that lead last long as Amir Shirazi netted three goals in 15 minutes giving the maroon and grey a 3-1 advantage at the halftime break.
Â
In the second half, McMaster found the back of the net once more before Frank Facchineri added another marker in the 61st minute. The visitors would go on to score three more goals, while Hernandez added his second of the game with just over a minute remaining in regulation.
McMaster and Windsor combined for 29 shots in one of the highest scoring games of the season.
Â
Windsor will now head up to Sault Ste. Marie to face the Algoma Thunderbirds on Sunday, September 25th at 2:15pm.
