GAME FLOW
The Gaels took a quick 10-2 lead in the first three minutes of the game. The blue and gold put a few more points on the board but needed to tighten up their defense to stay within striking distance. The hosts went on another run and at the end of the first quarter, the Lancers were down by 11, 24-13.

In the second frame, Windsor struggled to keep up with the Gaels who continued to pull away. Reine Ndome was able to drive forward for a layup for a chance to set up the Lancers pressure offense. With 41.5 seconds left, Vanessa Budimunda also made a shot within the paint and the Gaels' Julia Chadwick would be called for a foul. Heading into the half, the Lancers down 54-27.

The third quarter saw the Lancers come out strong as the Gaels went scoreless in the first six minutes. Mariame Dehikissia was able to fire a three to get the Lancer bench up and see hopes of coming up from behind. However, within those six minutes, the blue and gold were only able to extend their score by 6-points. With one more quarter to go, the Lancers would have to dig deep, trailing 67-37.

The last quarter had the Lancers give it their all as they put their best performance on display. As the Gaels would draw another foul, Julia Chiarot was sent to the line for a couple smooth free throw baskets to add to the scoreboard. Kali Grootenboer made a huge block to limit the Gaels further offensive opportunities, yet the squad still remained down by 26 points. In the end, the Windsor Lancers were unable to capitalize in time and they fell 77-47.
