Lancer softball  is excited to announce the signing of another promising local athlete to the recruit class of 2023. Kaitlyn Bovenkamp, an outfielder who currently attends Essex District High School, has signed with the team and will add depth to their defense.

"Playing softball and furthering my education at the University of Windsor was a very easy and exciting decision for me to make as the University of Windsor has one of Ontario's top Human Kinetics programs," stated Bovenkamp. "When I was asked to come out and practice with the Lancers in September, it was very clear to me that this team has great energy and drive. They are a captain-led team with an experienced coaching staff, led by coach Paul Scott. Everyone made this experience very welcoming and positive. I am confident that the University of Windsor is the right choice for me."

"We are excited that Kaitlyn has selected the University of Windsor to further her education and to play softball," commented team captain Megan Lozinski. "We got to see Kaitlyn when she worked out with us in the fall of 2022. She made a lasting impression on the team with her performance on the diamond. She possesses those qualities that can't be taught; athleticism, coach-ability, and heart."
