The Windsor Lancer men's basketball team split the weekend against the nation's capital city rivals. On Friday night the blue and gold dropped a 68-81 decision to the uOttawa Gee-Gees. On Saturday, the Lancers dominated the floor and brought home an 82-68 victory over the Carleton Ravens.

FRIDAY STATS
Lancers shot 40.7% from the floor and 65.0% from the charity line. In total 10 players logged time on the floor for the blue and gold, with three scoring double-digit scores.
Xavier Ochu led the Lancer charge on the scoreboard with 22 points.
Lorenzo Barbieri and Denzel Cummings were also key contributors, tallying 13 and 14, respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED FRIDAY
It was an even start to the contest, being 15-15 at the end of the first quarter.
Lorenzo Barbieri got things rolling for the blue and gold, hitting double digits with 12 points. The second quarter saw another close match where the Gee-Gees edged out the Lancers to lead by 4 at halftime.
While the Gee-Gees extended their lead early in the frame, the Lancers battled from behind with
Xavier Ochu and
Denzel Cummins leading the effort with 11 and 7 points each in the final minutes of the quarter. The Lancers had some ground to make up in the final minutes and despite their hustle ultimately came up short, left trailing by 13.

SATURDAY STATS
On Saturday, Windsor out shot Carleton 45.3% to 38.8% on the floor, and 34.5% to 22.2% at the 3-point arc. In all, 9 players clocked time on the floor on the night, with three scoring double-digit figures.
Xavier Ochu and
Luke Grace dominated in the paint, putting up 25 and 20 points apiece.
Quinn Carey also had an impressive outing, racking up 10 for the blue and gold.

HOW IT HAPPENED SATURDAY
The blue and gold came out hot onto the floor Saturday night, with
Xavier Ochu and
Luke Grace leading the way with 11 and 8 points. The Lancers kept up their offensive momentum in the second frame, going into halftime with a 19-point surplus over the Ravens. The third frame saw a tight contest, where Windsor again had the upper hand, outscoring Carleton 14-13. The Ravens gave Lancers a run for their money in the fourth quarter, but the Lancers were able to hold onto the lead and leave the court with an 82-68 win.
