The Lancer men's basketball team emerged victorious in a point-for-point contest on the road against the Lakehead Thunderwolves Saturday night (72-56).

Xavier Ochu was a standout shooter, earning 25 points on the night. The powerhouse trio consisting of

Yohann Sam were on fire at the charity line, each with a perfect score to collectively go 7-for-7.

The Lakehead Thunderwolves were led by a trio of players earning double-digit scores: Chris Sagl, Nathan Bilamu, and Harold Santacruz with 17, 13, and 10 points respectively.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half of the game was quite a level affair. Lakehead secured an extra point in the opening quarter, and with an even 11-11 second frame, the Thunderwolves led by only one point at halftime. The third quarter saw tensions on the court rise as teams continued to go point-for-point. Ultimately, it was the final frame where the Lancers turned up the heat to outscore the Thunderwolves 23-9, resulting in a final score of 72-56.
