The Windsor Lancer men's soccer team battled in back-to-back matches against the Western Mustangs on Friday (0-3) and Sunday (0-0) this weekend.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED FRIDAY
On Friday the Mustangs put up a strong showing at Alumni Field versus the blue and gold.
In the first half, Western managed to tally up two. Despite solid goal-scoring opportunities from Otis Vacratsis and Osayande Ibie, the men trailed by two at halftime.
 
In the second half, Western got their third strike of the match. The Lancers were left ready to bounce back for a rematch on Sunday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED SUNDAY
On Sunday the blue and gold hit the road to London for a match at Mustang Field. The men entered the match looking to even the weekend series.
 
The first half left both teams scoreless and hungry to crack the double goose eggs on the board.
The second frame saw Lancers knocking on the Mustangs' doorstep with tenacious strikes by Skyler Pinnock, Robert Oates, and Devin Hernandez. However, the teams' performances proved evenly matched as players walked off the pitch tied nil-nil.
