The Lancer women's basketball team returned to Windsor for a pair of matchups against teams from the 6ix: TMU Bold (45-41) and Toronto Varsity Blues (73-62).

FRIDAY STAS
The Lancers shot an impressive 75.0% over TMU's 38.5% from the charity line, where
Reine Ndome and
Kali Grootenboer both went 4-for-4.

Ndome led the charger for the starters, rounding up 10 points.
Julia Chiarot was another standout performer, earning 8 rebounds on the night.

HOW IT HAPPENED FRIDAY
The Lancers and Bold exchanged control over the game throughout the opening half. Windsor outworked TMU 12-8 in the opening quarter and maintained their lead to be up by 7 at halftime.
The third showed a balanced contest as the Lancers went into the final quarter with an 8-point lead. Despite a 3-quarter long lead, the women ultimately fell to the TMU bold by a pair of baskets.

Three starters hit double figures in Saturday's game against the TMU Bold.
Reine Ndome tallied an impressive 17 points, while
Mariame Dehkissia contributed 13 points.
Isabella Anes also had a strong showing, earning 10 points and 7 assists for the blue and gold.

In total, the women shot 39.7% from the floor and 78.9% from the free throw line.
Julia Chiarot worked both ends of the court to earn 9 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED SATURDAY
Facing their second opponent of the weekend from the 6ix, the Lancers came out strong with
Julia Chiarot and
Leah Tate leading the charge, each with 5 points on the floor. The Varsity Blues closed the gap in the second to lead by 3 at halftime.

It continued to be a close contest in the third, teams going point-for-point, leaving the quarter at 50-51 for Toronto. The sidelines brought an electric atmosphere which fueled the blue and gold.
Reine Ndome put the Lancers back at a tied-score, 52-52, early in the fourth. From there it was up, up, up for the Lancers! Dehkissia capped things off with a clean 3-pointer from the arch, ending the night with a 73-62 victory over the Toronto Varsity Blues.
