First, Spencer Krause hit the crossbar for the game's opening strike in the 4th minute. Then Devin Hernandez had a solid chance saved by the Brock goalkeeper in the 9th minute.
It was the Badgers who opened the scoring however, putting one away off a corner kick in the 12th minute.

A tic-tac-toe play with John Maida and Noah Branco then connected with Mason Bailey to get the blue and gold on the board in the 16th minute.

Energy was high as Brock broke the tie in the 31st minute, leaving the score at 2-1 at halftime.

The Badgers found themselves on a roll in the second half, scoring 4 goals in 15 minutes.
The Lancers tried to battle back with a series of late offensive efforts. In the 84th minute, Robert Oates had a tenacious strike, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. Ultimately, the Lancers saw no score in the second half, ending the night with a 6-1 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED SUNDAY
On Sunday, the men hit the road to St. Catharine's for a rematch. Teams again showed fans a close contest in the opening frame.
