The Windsor Lancer men's basketball team travelled up to Toronto for the second time this week to this time take on the TMU Bold at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in downtown Toronto where the Lancers fell 91-62 to the Bold on Saturday evening.
 
GAME STATS
Lorenzo Barbieri scored 11 points to lead the Lancers offensively in the loss to TMU.  Yohann Sam also contributed heavily with his 10 points put up and team leading 6 rebounds in the loss.  
 
Other noteworthy scoring performances came from Yashar Greaves-Saadat and Luke Grace who each posted 9 points of their own individually for the Lancers.
 
GAME FLOW
Toronto Metropolitan came out strong in the first quarter finding a way to outpace the Lancers offensively with a 23-16 lead by the end of the opening quarter. 
 
In the second quarter Windsor would try to keep up with the Bold but the hosts would continue to cruise to the basket finding a way to stay on top 45-31 at halftime. 
 
In the third quarter the blue and gold's offensive production would remain steady but not enough to trump the Bold's 29-15 scoring run to continue to hold a grasp on the visitors from Windsor heading into the fourth with a comfortable 74-46 advantage on the scoreboard. 
 
Despite the deficit Windsor would have their best quarter defensively in the fourth only limiting the Bold to a 17-16 scoring run but in the end ultimately the first quarters helped the Bold to prevail over the Lancers in this outing earning them a 91-62 victory. 
 
UP NEXT
The Lancers will be back in action next on Friday, November 22nd at the Toldo Lancer Centre for an 8:00pm tipoff against the Laurentian Voyageurs. The blue and gold will also host the Nipissing Lakers next weekend on Saturday, November 23rd at 6:00pm.
