The women's basketball team travelled up to Toronto for the second time this week to this time take on the TMU Bold at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in downtown Toronto.
On Saturday the Lancers dropped an 80-71 contest to the Bold to fall to 5-3 on the campaign.
GAME STATS
Kali Grootenboer had a double-double performance with her 13 points and 10 rebounds earned to lead the Lancers in Saturday's matinee.
Maggie Denys also had an impressive offensive performance with her 13 points scored and other double digit scoring performances came from
Isabella Anes (12),
Julia Chiarot (11), and
Reine Ndome (10).
GAME FLOW
Windsor outscored TMU by double with a 30-15 first quarter performance to lead the match. Windsor was then able to add another 17 points in the second quarter to lead by twenty at halftime with a score being locked in at 47-27.
In the third quarter TMU was able to find the basket a lot more than the first half generating offensive production that catapulted them back into the game only to be trailing by ten points with a 26-16 scoring run which had the score at 63-53 by the end of the quarter.
In the fourth, the Lancers struggled to score more than their opponents who took over the contest with a flurry of buckets that propelled them back into the contest with a late gate surge that saw the Bold battle back with a 27-8 scoring run to earn them a comeback victory of 80-71 over the visitors from Windsor in front of their home crowd.

The Lancers will be back in action next on Friday, November 22nd at the Toldo Lancer Centre for a 6:00pm tipoff against the Laurentian Voyageurs. The blue and gold will also host the Nipissing Lakers next weekend on Saturday, November 23rd at 4:00pm.
