The Windsor Lancer men's basketball team were back in action this weekend on the road up in Kingston and Oshawa on Friday and Saturday night.

On Friday the Lancers defeated the Queen's Gaels 104-96 in the Limestone City before dropping an 88-83 loss to the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks on Saturday night in Oshawa.

With the results this weekend the Lancers are currently sitting at a 1-3 record on the campaign.

WEEKEND STATS
On Friday
Simeon Smith scored 23 points leading the way offensively for the Lancers in the road victory over the tricolour.Â
Â
Emanuel Otong recorded a double-double with his game high 13 rebounds and 21-point performance for the Lancers to win over the Gaels.Â
Â
Lucas Grace also went 7-11 on field goals and 6-6 at the charity stripe to earn 20 points in the victory.

Meanwhile on Saturday Otong followed up with another double-double with his 12 rebounds and 12 points while Smith posted a team lead of 24 points offensively in the loss to the Ridgebacks.

FRIDAY GAME FLOW
Queen's outscored the Lancers 30-24 in the first quarter holding the lead before Windsor would generate more offense in the second quarter with a 29-16 scoring run making it a 53-46 Lancer lead at halftime.

The Lancers would be narrowly outscored in the third with the Gaels finding a way to stick with the Lancers at 77-71 where Windsor still held the slim lead going into the fourth quarter.

The blue and gold would take care of business down the stretch outscoring the Gaels 27-25 and closing out down the stretch with a 104-96 victory over their tricolour hosts.Â

SATURDAY GAME FLOW
On Saturday the Lancers got off to a good start in the first quarter with a 24-19 lead by the end of the first before adding another 21 and surrendering 15 to make it a 45-34 ball game at halftime.

The Ridgebacks would then find their bark and bite in the second half finding a way to outscore the Lancers in both remaining quarters with a 20-14 run in the third and a 34-24 run for Ontario Tech in the fourth to carry themselves over Windsor with an 88-83 victory serving the Lancers with a split decision on the road this weekend after earning their first win of the campaign the night before in Kingston.Â

The Lancers will be back in action again next weekend for a pair of home games being hosted at the Toldo Lancer Centre on Friday November 8th at 8:00pm against the Lakehead Thunderwolves and again on Saturday November 9th for a 6:00pm tip off against the McMaster Marauders. Fans can purchase tickets in advance
