Box Score The Lancer women's hockey team dominated on the road against the York Lions Friday night, defeating the host Lions 4-1.

The Lions turned up the pressure early, where the Lancers were forced to double-down on defense, killing two penalties in the opening 10 minutes. Â

Emily Eikelboom circled in front of the Lions' net to score bardown on a delayed penalty play to make it 1-0 for Windsor. Â

In the final minutes of the first period, teams exchanged multiple penalties which would bleed into the second period. Â

Without delay in the second,
Madison Hollohan potted her first OUA career goal from an assist by
Jaden Cherry. Then, the blue and gold remained strong on the penalty kill, successfully beating a double-minor late in the period. Â

In the final frame, the Lions pulled through in the slot to put one over the shoulder of
Cadence Petitclerc. Moments later, Cherry capitalized on a rebound to restore the 2-goal lead. Â
With 41 seconds remaining,
Makayla Mailhot sealed the deal as she found an empty cage, making the final score 4-1 for the blue and gold. Â
