The Windsor Lancer men's basketball team traveled to Waterloo for their final road trip of the 2023-24 season.

The blue and gold fell 83-70 to the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday night, and then 73-68 in overtime to the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday.

FRIDAY STATS
Yohann Sam led the blue and gold with 20 points, while
Luke Grace had the game's only double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Denzel Cummins chipped in 14 points, and
Lorenzo Barbieri also had 10.

HOW IT HAPPENED FRIDAY
A tight game from the start, Windsor led 35-34 at halftime and the squads went into the final quarter tied 56-56. In the fourth, Laurier shot an impressive 60% from the field compared to the Lancers 35.7% and pulled away for the 13-point victory.

SATURDAY STATS
Sam once again was high point-getter for Windsor, with a game high 22 points. Grace contributed 19 points and a game high nine rebounds, while Barbieri once again had 10 points in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED SATURDAY
The Lancers once again led at halftime 31-27 and maintained a narrow lead late in the fourth quarter. With Windsor up by three in the dying seconds, Waterloo's Ethan Andrew hit a deep three point shot at the buzzer to tie the game 62-62 and send it into overtime.

The hosts carried their momentum going shooting 57% and earning the come from behind win.

UP NEXT
The blue and gold will return home for their final game pair of home games next weekend against the Algoma Thunderbirds. Windsor will tip off at 8:00pm on Friday, February 16th, and at 6:00pm on Saturday, February 17th at the Toldo Lancer Centre.
