Women's Basketball drops weekend decisions

The Windsor Lancer women's basketball had a busy weekend first on the road travelling up to St. Catharines on Friday night to take on the Brock Badgers where they dropped a 67-52 contest to the Badgers.

Meanwhile on Sunday the Lancers returned home to host the Guelph Gryphons where they lost a hard-fought battle with the Gryphons 72-65 at the Toldo Lancer Centre to round out their road-and-home weekend.

Also putting up points on the stat sheet was Reine Ndome who had 7 points while a trio of Lancers in Leah Tate, Grace Koffi, and Isabella Anes each put up 6 points in the loss to Brock.

The Badgers were led by Madalyn Reinert's 19-point performance that led Brock past Windsor.

The first quarter saw competitive play between both squads which resulted in an 18-18 tie by the end of the first.

The Lancers were outscored 15-12 in the second quarter and again in the third quarter 18-10 which allowed the Badgers to widen the gap on the scoreboard making it hard for Windsor to battle back.

The Badgers marched on to close out the fourth quarter on top with a 16-12 final quarter performance and 67-52 win over Windsor to improve to 15-11 on the season and drop the Lancers to 14-4 on the campaign.
