The Windsor Lancer men's soccer team took on the Algoma Thunderbirds at Alumni Stadium Friday night. Despite a valiant effort, the Lancers dropped a 2-0 decision.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The blue and gold found themselves in a competitive matchup against the Thunderbirds.
Algoma opened the scoring in the 10
th minute. Then, in the 23
rd minute, Lancer
Mason Bailey had a notable chance with a thunderous strike on target.

In the 74
th minute,
Devin Hernandez flew into a header, going just shy of the Algoma goal.
As time was wearing down, however, the Thunderbirds sealed the deal on the night with a marker in the 87
th minute.

Despite solid attempts from the Lancers throughout the bulk of the two halves, they found themselves training to the visiting Thunderbirds for the majority of the match up.
