The Windsor Lancer men's soccer team took on the Algoma Thunderbirds at Alumni Stadium Friday night. Despite a valiant effort, the Lancers dropped a 2-0 decision.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The blue and gold found themselves in a competitive matchup against the Thunderbirds.
Algoma opened the scoring in the 10^th minute. Then, in the 23^rd minute, Lancer Mason Bailey had a notable chance with a thunderous strike on target.
 
In the 74^th minute, Devin Hernandez flew into a header, going just shy of the Algoma goal.
As time was wearing down, however, the Thunderbirds sealed the deal on the night with a marker in the 87^th minute.
 
Despite solid attempts from the Lancers throughout the bulk of the two halves, they found themselves training to the visiting Thunderbirds for the majority of the match up.
