The Windsor Lancer men's soccer team dropped two to the York Lions in the weekend series.
HOW IT HAPPENED FRIDAY
The Windsor Lancers men's soccer team faced a tough matchup against the York Lions, falling 5-0 in a challenging contest on the road.
Despite the final scoreline, the Lancers created some promising opportunities early in the match. In the 18th minute, Devin Hernandez came close to opening the scoring with a powerful shot, but York's goalkeeper was up to the task. Later, in the 31st minute, John Maida also threatened, breaking through the defense, but his effort was denied, keeping the Lancers off the board.
York's offense proved relentless, with the Lions finding their rhythm and capitalizing on key chances to build a lead. As the game progressed, the Lancers found it difficult to break through York's solid defense, while the Lions continued to press and ultimately sealed a commanding 5-0 victory.
