University of Windsor Lancers men's soccer player Nico Fontecha has been named on OUA All-Star following the 2025 season.

Fontecha started every game for the Lancers in just his second season. The forward scored twice times on ten shots on net and added two assists for six points, all career-highs. His two goals tied him for second on the Lancers. Fontecha proved to be a key part of the Windsor offense and was consistently a top player for the blue and gold that challenged opposing teams each night.

A highlight of Fontecha's season came in Windsor's Sept. 19 match against McMaster, where he stepped around a Marauder defender and fired a shot from 30 yards out that blew past the McMaster keeper. His tally that night allowed Windsor to force a 1-1 draw against the No. 10 nationally ranked Marauders.
