University of Windsor Lancers softball players
Emma Hanley and
Jayde Melhuish-McGahan have been named OUS All-Stars following the conclusion of the 2025 OUS season.
The Lancers closed out their season on October 18 at the OUS Championships in Innerkip, Ont. They won their first game 5-3 against the Queen's Gaels, but dropped the next two to the Western Mustangs and Toronto Varsity Blues, falling short of the medal round.
Hanley, a third-year outfielder, was one of the top hitters for the Lancers, consistently reaching base and driving in her teammates to be an offensive force to be reckoned with. This marks the second consecutive season that Hanley has been named an all-star.
Melhuish-McGahan was a two-way presence for the blue and gold, shutting down opponents while being a tough out. McGahan was in the circle for many of the Lancers eleven wins in the regular season, often pitching six or more innings while allowing very little offense. McGahan adds to her trophy case, following up on her remarkable rookie season in 2024 where she was named an all-star and OUS West pitcher of the year.
