GAME FLOW
The Lancers came out of the gate with intensity as they had a 10-5 shot advantage in the first period, but neither team could break through despite three Western penalties.
Teagan Pare opened the scoring early in the second period, her first goal of the season.
Bailey Radovich doubled the Lancer lead midway through the third period. The Mustangs had two penalties in an effort to get back in the game, but their penalty kill stood tall to maintain the two-goal difference. The Lancers would hang on to the 2-0 score, their first shutout win of the season.
