GAME FLOW
The Lancers surged out to an early lead just 1:12 into the opening period. A quick give-and-go between Ty Toews and Colton Smith carved through the Gryphons defence and finished with Smith scoring off a slick feed from Toews, as Matt McNamara drew the secondary assist.
Windsor doubled their advantage four minutes later on the power play. Toews redirected a point shot from Keegan McMullen, pushing the lead to 2–0 and giving McNamara his second assist of the period.
The Lancers continued controlling the pace and were rewarded again late in the first. The puck found Noah Szabo off a clean offensive-zone faceoff win, who hammered home a one-timer for his first career OUA goal, sending Windsor into the intermission ahead 3–0.
After a scoreless second period, the Gryphons pushed hard in the third. Max Donoso stood tall between the pipes for Windsor, turning aside all 17 shots he faced in the final frame. With Guelph's net empty late in the period, Keegan McMullen fired one in from distance, sealing the 4–0 victory.
