The Lancer women's soccer team opened the 2025 season with a weekend home-and-home series against the Guelph Gryphons.
The blue and gold dropped their opening game 3-0 on Friday night in Guelph, and followed that up with a 0-0 draw on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Stadium in Windsor.
FRIDAY
In their opening game of the year, the Lancers struggled to find their grove and the hosts took an early lead in the 21st minute of the game. Before the half, the Gryphons would extend their lead to two goals, and midway through the second half would put the game out of reach for the Lancers.

Kailyn Robertson had two shots on net.
SUNDAY
In front of an energetic crowd on Sunday at Alumni Field, Windsor rebounded and played a solid ninety minutes of soccer.
Barrette was outstanding between the pipes, making six solid saves as the blue and gold earned a hard fought draw.
Avery Comartin also had an impressive afternoon on the pitch, being a thrown in the side of the visiting Gryphons and registering two shots on goal.
