Men's volleyball are OUA silver medalists in Forsyth Cup loss

The University of Windsor Lancers men's volleyball team fell in the OUA Forsyth Cup Championship Final on Friday (Mar. 6) night, dropping a straight sets decision to the Queen's Gaels at the Toldo Lancer Centre. Queen's claimed the championship with set scores of 25–17, 25–23, and 25–23.

GAME FLOW
The Gaels came out strong in the opening set, recording 15 kills while hitting an efficient .462 to take control early. Windsor struggled to find its offensive rhythm, managing six kills on 25 attempts while hitting .040 as Queen's secured the 25–17 advantage.

The Lancers responded with a much stronger effort in the second set, tightening up defensively and improving their attack. Windsor registered 11 kills and hit .207, matching Queen's efficiency in a tightly contested frame. Despite pushing the Gaels deep into the set, Queen's capitalized on key late points to edge Windsor 25–23 and take a commanding two-set lead.

The third set saw Windsor deliver its most balanced performance of the match. The Lancers produced 12 kills on 30 attempts for a .267 hitting percentage while battling point-for-point with the Gaels. However, Queen's maintained composure in the closing moments, sealing another narrow 25–23 victory to complete the sweep.
