MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of the Lancer Strength & Conditioning program to provide up to date, relevant skills to each and every Lancer student-athlete. Through the use of safe and effective training, each Lancer student-athlete will be trained for their specific needs, within their specific sport.

Lancer Pride is about Team Excellence, Through Individual Achievement. It’s
going the extra step when no one is watching so the team can take great leaps with many watching.

PHILOSOPHY

Day in and day out you will be tested. Your mind and body will be tested to see how far you will go to gain the success you and your teammates can onlyrealize TOGETHER.

The Lancer Strength and Conditioning program is built to give each athlete the tools they need to succeed on the field of battle. It is up to each individual athlete to choose what level they want to compete at. Remember, we will study, lift and practice harder than any other team in the Country, making our competition level very high.

Our team objective is excellence, and our measure is in Championships. Will you go as far as you need to go? Will you take the time to be prepared for what lies ahead?

On the field of battle, you must resort to your level of training. What will yours be?

TRAINING METHODS

Power Training
- Lancer Power Training involves preparing the body for the day in, day out rigors of our season. We will train the body to be strong and explosive, for the entire game. Every play, every set, every quarter is an entity that we pride ourselves on winning....and win we will!

Cardiovascular Endurance
- Our endurance goes hand in hand with our Strength. The mind must stay strong during endurance training, so each athlete can stay at their designed interval times. We must remember that our games are easy. If we practice at the highest level, we will be the highest level.

Speed Development - Every single workout begins with a dynamic warm-up that is designed for Speed Development. With attention to range of motion, we can gain better athleticism.

Agility Development - Attention to our core abilities will make us more agile on the field of battle. We must pay close attention to doing our agility drills correctly.

Proper Nutrition - Our bodies are our means to excellence. We must respect what we get out of our bodies by putting only good things in.

Rest - Remember, over training is just as bad as not training at all.

Championship Lifestyle - At the beginning of each year we talk as a team about winning and what it takes to be a champion.

We all agree what our objective is, so as a team we collectively find accountability in ourselves. We live by the saying: Team Excellence, Through Individual Achievement.

TESTIMONIALS

"Strength and conditioning is a year round staple of our football program and the gains made by our players’ in-season and off-season is critical to the success of our players on the playing field.  Frank Jeney has created a systematic blueprint for our players and those who are working the plan are making significant gains in size, speed, strength and flexibility.  The results will be on display once training camp begins in August and our staff is eagerly awaiting the physical transformation of our players.”
Mike Morencie - Head Football Coach - University of Windsor

"I fully endorse Frank Jeney and his abilities to get the most out of every athlete he works with. The basketball program here at Windsor is in the best physical shape it has ever been in thanks to Coach Jeney. His training is effective and efficient. He holds our player's accountable for their work and his techniques are sport specific. We are very fortunate here at Windsor to have someone of his back ground working with our athletes."
Chris Oliver - Head Basketball Coach - University of Windsor

"We had been looking for a conditioning program for our off season, that would prepare us for our on water season which begins in  May. We connected with Frank Jeney at the University of Windsor who was very receptive to our needs, even though he was unfamiliar with the sport. Frank did his research and tailor made a conditioning program for us, which ensured we were well conditioned at the start of our season. Our members appreciated being able to train as a group, which enhanced our cohesiveness as a team. All of the members who participated in the program felt they were better prepared for the season than in any previous year.  Our crew has reaped the rewards through dramatically improved race results this year. We medalled in our first event and finished in the top 10 in our second event.   Thanks Frank!”
