Kevin DiNardo

Kevin DiNardo,  native of Amherstburg, ON and a graduate of the University of Windsor, is in his 18th year with the Windsor Lancer program, and 16th year serving as pole vault coach for the Lancer Track and Field team.
 
Kevin started coaching while studying at the University and competing for the Blue and Gold. In his 3 years as an athlete he was a member of two National Championship teams (2003, 04), three Conference Championship teams (2002, 03, 04), a two-time OUA All-Star, and part of the 2003 OUA record high scoring team.
 
Since taking over the program, Lancer pole vaulters have scored more championship points than any other program in all of Canada. Kevin, has been a part of 33 Championship Team Titles, including 12 National Championships, and has coached 54 Championship medalists, as well as both male and female school record holders. In 2012, coaching hurdles, Lancer hurdlers swept the podium at the OUA Conference Championships, occurring only twice before in conference history.
 
Highly involved at all levels, Kevin also coaches a number of club teams, primarily the University of Windsor Athletics Club, and has coached 19 different high schools in the Windsor/Essex region. He has guided multiple athletes at all levels to record breaking performances and gold medals, at OFSAA high school, U SPORTS National, and the Canadian National Championships. Some of his athletes have included, Milos Savic – Serbian National Pole Vault Record Holder, Rachael Wolfs – 2018 U SPORTS National Pole Vault Champion, Amilia DiChiara – 2013 CIS National 60m Hurdles Champion, Erika Reiser – holder (former) of every high school record up to and including OFSAA Championships, and has served as a pole vault specific event coach for Jamie Adjetey-Nelson – 2010 Commonwealth Games Decathlon Champion.
 
Kevin holds many National Coaching Certification Program levels in Jumps, Hurdles, Sprints/Relays, Multis, and is a Coach Developer – Learning Facilitator and Coach Evaluator. He has twice represented Canada as a National Team Coach, and has coached athletes to nine different international competitions.
