The Lancer men's soccer team earned a 2-0 victory over the Waterloo Warriors Saturday afternoon in Waterloo, and followed the win up with a 2-2 tie against the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday.
Playing in the blinding rain, both Windsor and Waterloo played a tight first half as both teams tried to set up a number of scoring opportunities. 
Windsor scored their first goal with less than five minutes remaining in the first half when Mike Watson headed the ball past the Waterloo goaltender.
The game remained 1-0 in favour of Windsor, until the final minute of the game when 
Ryan Wise was taken down on a break away. Windsor was awarded a penalty kick, and first year 
Arlo Hemkes sailed the ball into the net to secure the 2-0 victory.
On Sunday, the Lancers against had a tough match in front of them against the Golden Hawks.
The game remained scoreless for the first thirty minutes until Laurier's Andrew Sanzsole gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Laurier held a 1-0 lead heading into the second half.
Halfway through the second half, Windsor finally got on the board to tie it up as Mike Watson scored his second goal in as many games. 
Spencer Cawker gave Laurier a 2-1 lead with two minutes remaining in regulation before 
Arlo Hemkes scored in injury minutes to tie it up and give Windsor a point in the standings. 
The Lancers will head to London on Wednesday to play the Western Mustangs. Game time is 8:15pm.
