The Lancer Men's Soccer team was defeated 3-0 on Sunday afternoon by the University of Waterloo Warriors at University of Windsor Stadium.

With the loss, Windsor moves to 0-1-1 after the first weekend of action in the 2009 season.

On Sunday, the game was scoreless until the 39th minute of the first half when Waterloo's Jimmy Murphy kicked one past Lancer goaltender Dan Mendonca to give the Warriors a 1-0 advantage.

Leon Latty would add to the Warrior lead as he added a marker at the 45 minute mark to put Waterloo up 2-0 heading into the half.

Chris Lam secured the Waterloo win with his first goal of the season 13 minutes into the second half to give the Warriors the 3-0 victory.

Coach Hart's squad will be back in action next Saturday as they hit the road to take on the Guelph Gryphons. They'll then travel to Toronto to battle the York University Lions. Both games are at 3:15pm.
