Men's Soccer continue to roll, sweep weekend series against McMaster and Brock

The Lancer Men's Soccer team continued their winning ways as they swept a weekend series against the McMaster Marauders and Brock Badgers on Alumni Field. 

Windsor started the weekend with an impressive 1-0 win over the Marauders on Saturday. 

The first half was well played as both teams moved the ball effectively and had chances to score on the opposition.

In the second half, Windsor would turn up their intensity as Eric Cirovski received a great pass and converted the only goal of the game to give his team the victory.

Lancer goalkeeper Dan Mendoca had another strong game in goal as he earned the shutout.

On Sunday against Brock, the Lancers knew they were in for a tought test as Coach Bill Millar's Badgers arrived into town.

The game remained scoreless until the second half when in the 74th minute, Darrin Dielemans got the Lancers on the board with a beautiful goal that eventual turned into the game winner.

Ryan Wise would then secure the Lancer victory in the 85th minute when he got a shot past Brock goaltender Jodun Gergory to give Windsor the impressive 2-0 victory.

Lancer goalkeeper Dan Mendonca earned his second shutout of the weekend in the win.

Windsor will take to the road next weekend when they travel to Waterloo to take on the Warriors on Saturday, October 3rd. They will remain in town to face the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday, October 4th. Both games are at 3:15pm.
