With the wins, the Lancers are now 4-1-3 on the season and sit in third place in the OUA West division.

Lancer midfielder Nicole Dowell then scored off her own corner kick in the 84th minute to secure the Lancer win, putting Windsor up by two.

Striker Heather Diachendt, and attackers Mereasa Brownlie and Candace Garrod all had quality scoring chances throughout the game but were unable to convert.

Goaltender Danielle St. Germain made some quality saves for her first of two shut-outs.

On Sunday, the Lancers were again able to shut out their opponent as they defeated the visiting Golden Hawks 1-0.

In the 39th minute, Garrod was able to convert on an open shot taken just inside the Laurier 18-yard box to score the game's lone goal.

Both Windsor and Laurier showed signs of strong play and possession throughout the game with the Golden Hawks registering 8 shots on St. Germain, while the Lancers fired six shots at Laurier goaltender Katrina Ward.

The offensive pressure continued by the Golden Hawks in the second half, but a solid Lancer defense and goaltender allowed Windsor to shut out the visitors.
