The Lancer women's soccer team's season came to an end on Saturday night as they fell 1-0 to the McMaster Marauders in OUA quarter-final action.

 

The first half was a hard fought battle, which saw the Lancers and Marauders equally sharing possession.

 

The second half brought a string of close chances for the Marauders, as they heavily pressured the visiting Lancers.

 

McMaster's goal came in the 72nd minute when Carley Luongo took a free kick from 30 yards out and found the head of second year striker Tara Dawdy. Dawdy flicked it past Windsor keeper Danielle St. Germain, and into the net.

 

The remaining 18 minutes were a back and forth effort between teams, however Dawdy's goal proved to be the game winner, and when the final whistle blew the score remained 1-0 in favour of the host Marauders.
