The #8 ranked Windsor Lancers Women's Hockey team will host a pair of crucial home games this weekend against the Waterloo Warriors and Laurier Golden Hawks.
The Lancers will open the weekend series on Saturday against Waterloo at 4:10pm at South Windsor Arena. They will then host the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday also at 4:10pm.
Coach
Jim Hunter's team will look to rebound this weekend after a disappointing trip to Toronto that saw them drop a pair of games to the Varsity Blues and York Lions.
Windsor dropped a 3-1 decision to Toronto last week with the lone Lancer goal coming from rookie Candace Chevalier.
The following night they were defeated 4-2 by York. Chevalier was again the only Lancer on the scoresheet as she registered both goals for the visitors.
The Lancers will look to get back on track this weekend with two big games against their rivals from Waterloo.
The Waterloo Warriors come into the weekend in 10th place in the OUA with a 2-10-1 record. The Golden Hawks on the other hand arrive in Windsor in first place in the province with an impressive 12-1 record in conference play.
Laurier's only defeat this season came at the hands of the Lancers, who'll be looking to knock them off for a second time this year.
Be sure to come out to South Windsor Arena this weekend for a pair of exciting OUA Women's Hockey games featuring your #8 ranked Windsor Lancers. Both games are set for 4:10pm at South Windsor Arena.
