Windsor Basketball moves into tie for first with big road win over Waterloo

Rookie point guard Josh Collins had 14 points in the victory over Waterloo.

The Lancer Men's Basketball team moved into a first place tie with the Lakehead Thunderwolves in the OUA West with a 76-64 victory road win over the Waterloo Warriors on Wednesday night.
 
Windsor now sits at 14-5 in the conference standings, while Lakehead is 14-4 with one game in hand. 

After being down by four in the first quarter, the Lancers came storming back in the second quarter, outscoring the Warriors 23-10 while shooting a solid 50% from the field in the first half. 

Windsor went into the break up 37-28.
 
The Lancers continued to dominate the host team in the third as they took a commanding 65-41 lead heading into the final quarter.
 
The Warriors mounted a small charge in the fourth quarter but it was not enough as Windsor earned the 76-64 victory. 

Isaac Kuon led all scorers with 27 points for the Lancers, while Josh Collins finished with 14 points and Andre Smyth added 8 rebounds.
 
Windsor returns to Waterloo on Saturday to face the Laurier Golden Hawks at 3:00pm.
