Jessica Clemencon has been named the OUA Rookie of the Year
The Windsor Lancers are pleased to announce that Jessica Clemencon from the Women's Basketball team has been named the OUA West Rookie of the Year and head coach Chantal Vallée has been named the OUA West Coach of the Year, as announced by Ontario University Athletics.

Clemençon was also honoured as an OUA West first team all-star and named to the OUA all-rookie team.  Shavaun Reaney was named an OUA West second team all-star and Miah-Marie Langlois was recognized alongside Clemençon on the OUA all-rookie team.

A native of St. Rambert, France, Clemençon made a tremendous impact in her first season in the OUA. She led all rookies in scoring and third overall in the conference and she finished 5th in Ontario in field goal percentage at 49.5%.

She also led all rookies in rebounding and was second in the conference with 26 blocks.

For the second straight year, Chantal Vallée was named the OUA West Coach of the Year. The Lancers picked up right where they left off last season, posting the same incredible 21-1 record against OUA opponents as they did a year ago.

Under Vallée's guidance, the Lancers finished on top of the OUA standings for a second straight season and reached as high as No. 2 in the national rankings.

Shavaun Reaney had another outstanding season for the Lancers as she helped lead her squad to a second consecutive OUA West Division title. As a fifth year senior for Windsor, Shavaun averaged 10.9 points per game along with 4.2 rebounds per game.

Reaney is without question one of the most talented point guards in the OUA as she finished third overall in the OUA in assists, averaging an impressive 4.05 apg.

She is a fierce competitor on the court and is the team leader of the Lancer squad that has been nationally ranked for all of the past two seasons.

Rookie standout Miah-Marie Langlois also had a superb first season as a Lancer. She proved to be an aggressive force at the defensive end and a solid offensive threat in her first year in the OUA. Her calming presence on the court was also extremely impressive for a first year player.

The Windsor, Ontario native averaged 6.0 points per game and 3.4 rebounds per game in addition to being a dynamic passer from the guard position.
