Box Score The Windsor Lancers Women's Basketball team got a pair of outstanding performances from Miah Langlois and
Jessica Clemencon as they earned a thrilling 75-69 victory in front of a capacity crowd at the St. Denis Centre on Wednesday night.
With the victory, the #2 ranked Lancers move to 10-2 in regular season play.
Wednesday night's game was one of the most anticipated match-ups of the year as the #2 Lancers and #3 Mustangs are two of the elite teams in Canada and both are expected to be championship contenders come March.
Windsor got 21 points on 8 of 10 shooting from
Jessica Clemencon and 20 points on 8 of 14 shooting from Miah Langlois as they overcame an early 10-point deficit to earn the win.
The Mustangs jumped quickly and took an early 16-9 lead that they extended to 23-11 after one quarter of play.
The Lancers responded in the second quarter as Langlois began to heat up from outside and Clemencon started to establish herself in the post. They also got some inspired play from rookie
Korissa Williams who made her presence felt in the second quarter as they cut into the lead.
Windsor outscored Western 21-14 in the second quarter and trailed only 37-32 heading in the break.
In the third, the Lancers completely took over the game as they turned up their defensive intensity and started to find their rhythm on offense.

Bojana Kovacevic along with Langlois all knocked down baskets from long range as the home team took their first lead of the game, 41-40.
Clemencon continued to be a force in the paint as the Lancers scored 28 points in the quarter and extended their lead to 60-53 after three.
The final quarter continued to be a battle as neither team backed off down the stretch. Windsor continued to hold a slight lead over the Mustangs throughout the quarter and extended late with free throws to win 75-69.
In addition to Windsor's dynamic duo, veteran
Emily Abbott added 12 points and
Bojana Kovacevic chipped in with 9 points.
Rookie guard
Korissa Williams was also a major force in the victory as she finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
The Lancers will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to St. Catherines to take on the Brock Badgers.
