Box Score The Lancer men's hockey team lost their third straight game with a 5-2 loss at the hands of the visiting Waterloo Warriors on Thursday night at Windsor Arena.
With the loss, the Lancers are now 2-3 on the year and dropped into a tie with UOIT for seventh place in the West Division.
Drew Palmer kept his scoring streak alive with his fourth goal of the year, putting the Lancers up 1-0 midway through the first period.
Windsor's lead didn't last long as the Warriors stormed back with two goals of their own before the end of the period.
Kyle Macdonald netted his first of the year on a scramble in front of Lancer goaltender
Parker Van Buskirk, while Mike Veysey added his own goal on a pass from Andy Smith and Justin Larson to close out the period.
Windsor would score the lone goal of the second period with an early goal from rookie
D.J. Turner to tie the game heading into the final period.
After an early goal from Jarrett Schnurr put the Warriors up by one, Waterloo goaltender Keaton Hartigan held off a Lancer attack making 20 saves alone in the final period to maintain the lead for the visitors.
The Warriors then scored two empty net goals in the final minute of regulation of secure the win.
Windsor will hit the road tonight and take on the Brock Badgers at 7:15pm at the Seymour-Hannah Centre.
