The Windsor Lancers Men's Soccer team extended their unbeaten streak to four with two positive results over the weekend.
Friday night's match-up against the host Western Mustangs was a closely fought affair. After a scoreless first half, Windsor took the lead early in the 2nd half with a goal from rookie Mike Pio.
The Mustangs tied it up in the dying minutes to prevent the Lancers from claiming the win.
On Saturday against the UOIT Ridgebacks in Oshawa, the game started brightly with Pio netting his third goal in three games in only the second minute of play.
The Lancers missed numerous chances before
Paul Frenken drove home a long-range effort to secure the win.
Lancer goaltender
Dejo Olagbegi earned his first shutout of the season in net for Windsor.
The Lancers will host the Guelph Gryphons this coming Saturday September 24th at 3:15pm on Alumni Field, followed by the York Lions on Sunday also at 3:15pm.
