The Lancer women's soccer team has won three of their last four games with a 3-0 shutout victory over the Western Mustangs on Sunday afternoon in London.
The win was the Lancers third shut-out in the last four games, and moves the Lancers to 3-2-0 on the season, and second place in the West Division.
Candace Garrod opened the scoring for Windsor in the 43
rd minute of the first half, to give Windsor a one goal leading heading into the break.
In the second half, the Lancers continued to pressure the Mustangs and Tiffany Phillips put on quite a show scoring the Lancers next two goals.
Phillips first goal of the match came at the sixty minute mark, and was followed by her second one fifteen minutes later to secure the victory.
Rebecca Singer earned her third shutout of the season after making an outstanding save on a Western penalty shot late in the game.
Windsor will host the Guelph Gryphons and York Lions this coming weekend on Alumni Field. The Blue & Gold will kick off against the Gryphons on Saturday and the Lions on Sunday. Both games are at 1:00pm.
