The Windsor Lancer women's soccer team won their first game of the season on Saturday afternoon with a 3-2 win over the Waterloo Warriors.
Jaclyn Faraci scored the winning goal in the 79th minute in what was a see-saw affair between the two combatants.
Carolyn Lott opened the scoring for the Lancers in the 39th minute before Waterloo's Kristina Stojadinovic answered just one minute later to send the score tied 1-1 into half.
Early in the second half, Adrienne Goldsworthy gave Waterloo their first lead of the game with her fifth goal in two games.
The Lancers continued to battle and found the equalizer in the 61st minute as
Tania Mills fired one past Warrior keeper Kala Studens. Faraci then found the game winning goal to secure the three points for the visiting side.
On Sunday, the Lancers were unable to hold on to their previous day's momentum as they fell 4-0 to the first place Laurier Golden Hawks in Waterloo.
Windsor will return home for the final weekend of the regular season as they play host to the McMaster Marauders on Saturday afternoon and the Brock Badgers on Sunday. Both games are at 1:00pm at Alumni Field.
