Women's Soccer earns four points over weekend

The Lancer women's soccer team earned four points over the weekend in their final two games of the regular season.

Windsor shut-out the York Lions on Saturday afternoon 1-0 in Toronto before drawing a 1-1 against the UOT Ridgebacks on Sunday in Oshawa.

Giulia Barile won the game for the Blue & Gold against the Lions after converting a penalty kick in the first half of the game. The Lancers played a solid game defensively in the second to hold on for the win. On Sunday, Becca Feurth scored the Lancers marker against the Ridgebacks.

The Lancers finished the season with a 6-7-3 record to place fifth overall in the OUA west division. They will travel to Guelph on Wednesday to face the Gryphons in the OUA West quarter-finals. Kick-off is set for 6:00pm.

More to come.
