Kenny Bradford tallied two goals and
Parker Van Buskirk made 37 saves, helping the Windsor Lancers men's hockey team defeat UQTR 5-3 on Saturday night at South Windsor Arena.
Four Lancers had multi-point games, including Bradford who led all players with three points.
The men accumulated a 3-1 lead in the second period, and maintained a two-goal advantage heading into the final 20 minutes of play. A quick goal from the Patriotes early in the last frame brought the lead down to one. However, Bradford added an empty netter, his fifth of the season, to clinch a ninth Lancers victory.
Windsor was 1-of-3 with the man-advantage, while UQTR converted on 1-of-6 power-play opportunities.
The Lancers currently sit second in the OUA West division, and will hit the road for their next five games beginning in Kingston, Ont. next weekend where they will play a two-game set against the Queen's Gaels.
