The Department of Athletics is currently seeking a responsible University of Windsor student to hold the position of "Winston" the mascot for the 2014-15 athletic season.
 
Responsibilities:

• Perform as "Winston the Lancer" at Windsor Lancer athletic events, social events and community appearances
• Commit to the assigned schedule to appear at campus and community events to promote school spirit
• Assist in creating routines for promotional entertainment.
• Distribute Windsor Lancers promotional items designed to help increase school spirit and attendance at games and events
• Personally interact with Lancer fans/student/staff/faculty
• Work events throughout the year, including the off season if applicable.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must be a current University of Windsor student
• Must be available to work all Lancer home games, nights, and weekends when needed
• Have the ability to work scheduled event dates, including those outside of Lancer home events if necessary
• Must be available for the entire duration of the Lancer athletic season
• Must be 6'0-6'3 in height
• Must be a motivated individual with the desire to gain experience in enhancing school spirit.
• Have an outgoing and creative personality with a willingness and desire to have fun.
• Have a willingness to perform wacky promotional activities on-court and in the community
• Have the ability to entertain without words
• Have the willingness to represent the University of Windsor, and our mission and core values, in a positive manner on and off campus

*Those who are selected for interviews will be asked to perform a creative skit/routine in the mascot costume showcasing their ability to be Winston.
