Women's Basketball Â
The No. 10 Lancer women's basketball team defeated the Carleton Ravens 63-48 last week to advance to the OUA Final Four tournament this weekend at the University of Ottawa. The Lancers will face the No. 4 Ryerson Rams in the OUA semi-final on Friday night for a chance to play in the Championship Game Saturday. Earlier in the season, the Lancers defeated the Rams 95-79. Both teams are well represented in the OUA Major Awards, which were announced earlier this week. Ryerson is led by Keneca Pingue-Giles who earned the OUA Player of the Year and OUA Defensive Player of the Year nods this season. Pingue-Giles led her team to 16-3 record this season, en route to a No. 4 ranking in the country. Pingue-Giles totalled 17.6 points per game this season, as well as 79 steals and 77 assists. Other notable Rams include Sofia Paska, who was named to the OUA first all-star list this season.

The Lancers were also well represented in the OUA awards.
Cheyanne Roger earned a first-team all-star nod, while teammate
Emily Prevost was named to the second-team and first year
Kaylee Anagnostopoulos was part of the all-rookie selections. Roger led the Lancers with 14.7ppg, while Prevost averaged 14.3 points per game throughout the regular season. The duo also dominated the boards, respectively averaging 8.6 and 9.1 rebounds per game. Anagnostopoulos had a stellar rookie season, starting 13 games for the Lancers and averaging 6.1 points and 1.9 assists per game.

Depending on the outcome, the Lancers will face either the No. 6 Ottawa Gee Gees or the No. 8 McMaster Marauders on Saturday. The Bronze medal game will be played at 6:00pm, followed by the gold medal match at 8:00pm. All four games over the weekend can be seen live at

Men's Basketball Â
The Lancer men's basketball team upset the No. 5 McMaster Marauders 79-78 in the OUA Quarter Finals last Saturday to advance to their fourth consecutive final four tournament this weekend at Ryerson. Windsor will face the host Rams on Friday night in the semi-finals at 8:00pm. Â Earlier this season the Lancers, who finished the regular season with a 14-6 record, handed the No. 3 Rams one of their only two losses on the season, defeating Ryerson 81-67 at the St. Denis Centre.

The Lancers are led by standout guard, and OUA first team all-star,
Alex Campbell, who finished the season ranked fourth in the OUA for points per game with 21.5. Campbell also totalled 63 assists and 131 rebounds during the regular season. The Lancers will also look to OUA rookie of the Year
Isiah Osborne who averaged 15 points per game during the regular season, and second year
Marko Kovac, who put up 12.2 points.

The Rams are led by Aaron Best, who averages 17.8ppg and 7.4rpg. The Rams have four others players averaging double-digit points per game. Ammanuel Diressa has 14.9ppg, Roshane Roberts averages 10.4ppg, while Kadeem Green and Adika Peter-McNeilly have earned 10.8 and 15.1ppg respectively.

Game time on Friday is set for 8pm at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. The first semi-final between the No. 1 Carleton Ravens and the No. 2 Ottawa Gee Gees will be played prior to Windsor's game at 6:00pm. The winners of both games will play in the OUA gold medal game Saturday evening at 8pm, with the bronze medal game taking place at 5:00pm. Â
