Box Score 2 The Lancer women's soccer team continued their winnings ways this weekend with a two game sweep over the Algoma Thunderbirds at Alumni Field.

With the two victories, the Lancers are now 3-0-3 on the season and are in first place in the OUA west division.

Saturday, September 9th
The women took care of business Saturday afternoon as they beat the Algoma Thunderbirds with ease, 5-1. The Lancers out-possessed the Thunderbirds for the majority of the match, and capitalized on their chances.

Paiten Stephens put home two goals, as
Jessica Paglia,
Cassie Chretien, and
Lea Pentney all added one goal.

Sunday, September 10th
On Sunday afternoon, the women once again dominated the Thunderbirds en route to a 2-0 victory.

It didn't take long for the ladies to get on the board as
Cassie Chretien scored in the first minute of play thanks to a
Giulia Barile assist.
Becca Fuerth scored at the 18th minute mark with Chretien being credited with the assist.

Although 2-0 may seem close, the Lancers dominated possession and outshot the Thunderbirds 23 to 1. Goalkeeper Krissy Brooks recorded her first shutout of the season in net for the Lancers.

Windsor will host the Western Mustangs this Wednesday, September 13th. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00pm at Alumni Field.
