GAME FLOW
Western opened the scoring nineteen minutes in off a couple of Lancer errors and took control of the first half, adding another goal three minutes later. The score stood at 2-0 for the first half.
Â
A halftime break played in favour for the Lancers as they came out with a purpose in the second half. Â Windsor initiated pressure in the Western half as they forced a turnover which forward
Jamar Redhead capitalized on. Cutting the lead to one goal, the Lancers took the momentum and started to move the ball around creating passing connections all over the field.
Â
A through ball in the 73rd minute from Western's backline broke the Windsor defense and stretched the Mustangs lead to 3-1. With not enough time left in the game to recover, the game finished 3-1.
