The Windsor Lancers women's basketball team hit the hardwood at the St. Denis Centre Saturday afternoon taking on the Western Mustangs. The Lancers used their final home game of a five game home stand to get back into the win column after dropping two tough ones to the Ottawa Gee-Gees and Carleton Ravens last weekend. The Lancers started somewhat slow but rolled on their way to a redeeming win over Western, 77-46.

GAME FLOW
In the first quarter the Lancers got out to a slow start but worked their way out to lead mid-way through the quarter. A big performance from Clarke helped out as the third year guard hit the frame's only three point makes to give the Lancers a 14-5 lead after the first frame. The second quarter was all blue and gold as Clarke continued her dominance on the both ends of the court, logging 14 points and three steals in just 17 minutes of action. With some fantastic defense that held the Mustangs to just 22 per cent shooting, the Lancers went into the half up 34-17.
The third quarter belonged to the Lancers early. Right out of the break the Lancers went to work expanding their lead to over 20 in the early going. The Lancers offense had a breakthrough in the third quarter, after being held to just 36 per cent shooting in the first half, the Lancers put on a shooting clinic in the third, hitting 62 per cent of their looks. The Mustangs got some better looks as well but couldn't close the sizeable gap between them and the Lancers. In the fourth quarter the Mustangs fought to close the gap and make a comeback but the steady shooting of the Lancers put that hope on ice rather early as the Lancers took the game in commanding fashion, 77-46.
