In a critical matchup against the Western Mustangs, the Lancers men's volleyball team fell 3-0 after three close sets. The Lancers kept each frame close, pushing the first into extra points to lose 26-28, 22-25 in the second and 27-29 in the third.
 
The loss to the Mustangs ties the two teams for second place in the OUA West, while the Guelph Gryphons trail in fourth by two points with a game in hand.
 
With only four games left in the season, the blue and gold trail the McMaster Marauders by two points for the first-place position.
 
GAME STATS
Pierce Johnson led the game with 13 kills for the Lancers, while Evan Cranshaw scored 11 kills for the Mustangs.
 
Nolan Langley set the Lancers up with 28 assists, but it was Matt Hooker who led the game on the other side of the net, setting his team up for 36 assists.
