In their second game of a home-and-home series, the Lancer men's basketball team rebounded on Saturday evening to defeat the Laurier Golden Hawks 90-84 in Waterloo.

Telloy Simon led the Lancers with 30 points and 14 rebounds, while Thomas Kennedy also had a huge day with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Ziphion Grant was 57.1% from beyond the arch.  
 
GAME FLOW
Kennedy was a machine to open the game, scoring double-digit points in the first quarter to give the Lancers a lead of 21-14. Thanks to efforts by Kennedy, Grant, Simon, and Shakeal Pryce, Windsor would dominate the second quarter. Simon and Grant were stellar from beyond the arch while Pryce was dishing the ball around the court. Windsor would outscore the Hawks 25-11 in the second and lead by twenty-one, 46-25 going into halftime.
 
Within four minutes of the third quarter, the Golden Hawks had already scored more points than they did in the whole second quarter. Laurier was applying pressure, however, they could not steal the Lancers thunder. Kennedy continued to crash the boards, while Simon showed off his three-point jumper. Lorenzo Barbieri would add to Windsor's lead by slicing and dicing through the Golden Hawks for a stunning layup that continued Windsor's twenty-point lead.
 
Laurier was able to get the game within ten points midway through the final quarter. A huge three-pointer by Simon, from nearly half court, was a shot that would slow the game down in favour of the Lancers. Within the dying minutes of the game, Laurier mounted a tough comeback to get within only five points of the Lancers but Windsor was able to hold on, winning the game 90-84.

Windsor will now take a break from the regular season for the holidays and return to action on January 12th when they play the McMaster Marauders in Hamilton. Game time is 8:00pm and can be seen live at 8:00pm.
