Lancers finish 5th & 6th at OUA Cross Country Championships

The Lancer cross country team had a strong showing at the OUA championships Saturday afternoon in London, ON.
 
As a team, the Lancer team finished 5th overall in the team standings, while the men placed sixth.
 
Jonathan Rioux (25:23) and Cameron Cira (25:27) were named OUA second team all-stars, placing twelfth and thirteenth, respectively.

Rounding out the Lancer scorers on the men's side were Luke Mawhinney with a time of 26:47, Paul Popescu (28:02), and Zach Staffell at 28:20.
 
Andrew Taylor finished the race with a time of 29:09, and Brayden DeGrace crossed the finish line at 30:45.
 
On the women's side, Nicole LaRue and Samara Quanz finished mere seconds apart. LaRue led the way again for the blue and gold with an 18th place finish, completing the 8km course in a time of 30:51, while Quanz was right behind her in 19th with a time of 30:54.
 
Natalie Whitten was the next Lancer across the line in a time of 32:43, Meg Mooney finished one second later at 32:53. Windsor's other finishers included Chloe Walker (33:16), Joelle Olla (34:40), and Kaitlyn Handy (35:23).
