The University of Windsor Lancers cross-country teams continued a strong season at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Indiana on Friday (Oct. 2).

Women's Results
The Lancer women carried the torch with a third-place finish (129 points) in the Women's Gold 5K race as
Alyshia Alkerton (17:04.89) and
Samara Quanz (17:12.30) finished first and second out of 211 competitors. Concurrent education junior
Sian Kniaziew and nursing major
Ella Heredi finished 18th and 41st to round out the top 50 for the Lancers.

In the Women's Open 5K run, third-year kinesiology student
Julia Scarrow (18:53.95) led the way for the blue and gold, finishing 36th out of 103 runners. Sophomore
Sylvia Ross (19:39.58) and first-year runner
Avery Martindale (19:51.19) also competed for Windsor.Â

Men's Results
Windsor's men finished ninth (232 points) in the Men's Gold 8K race as Faculty of Human Kinetics major
Andreas Pardalis (24:33.4) finished 21st out of 175 competitors, while fellow kinesiology student
Max Fazecash (24:50.3) and mechanical engineering major
James Wheeler (24:55.3) finished 40th and 48th to round out the top 50.Â

Kade Campbell (26:38.20) and Sebastian Glazer (27:02.77) were Windsor's best performers in the Men's Open 8K.
